A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of the goods of one party from those of another.
A service mark is similar to a trademark, except that it identifies and distinguishes the source of a service rather than a product.
Trademark rights arise out of use of the mark as a source identifier. If continually used and not abandoned, a trademark has an unlimited lifespan.
Amburn Law prepares and prosecutes trademark applications in partnership with our clients. We not only obtain trademark registrations, but also work in cooperation with our clients to develop strong trademarks that serve as the client’s valuable brand.
Our trademark services include trademark searching, preparation and prosecution. Additional services include, trademark clearance, international trademark procurement, trademark licensing and representation in trademark cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
